Terms and Conditions

In completing this application form, the applicant ('Student') and his/her parent(s)/guardian(s)agree to abide by Harriet Educational Group policies and requirements stipulated as following:

1.
Student must observe the rules and regulation of HEG. Any violation of the rules and regulations shall subject him/her to disciplinary action. In serious circumstances of misconduct and misdemeanor, HEG reserves the right of expulsion. In such event, fees paid shall be non-refundable.

2.
All fees must be paid in advance and before the commencement of each course module. Installment payments must be paid no later than the 7th of the month, failing which HEG reserves the right to expel the Student.

3.
A 50% refund of tuition and examination fees will be made for written confirmation of withdrawal of application 2 weeks before commencement of the course. Upon commencement of the course, premature cessation of study or unsuccessful completion, refund is subject to final decision of HEG.

4.
HEG reserves the right to offset the security deposit paid to Singapore Immigration for all aspects of outstanding payments due to HEG.

5.
The tuition fee covers the normal stated duration of the course and does not include any fees payable for bridging or foundation courses. Any significant extension of courses beyond the normal duration arising from Student incompetence to meet assessment standards and pass examinations will be charged separately.

6.
No transfer of course will be entertained, except for extenuating cases for which application has to be made to Director of Studies and Approval shall be granted at the discretion of HEG.

7.
No lesson will be conducted on Singapore gazetted public holidays and school holidays. There will be no make-up class in lieu of such holidays.

8.
Any withdrawal from the course must be conveyed to HEG in writing.

9.
HEG reserves the right to suspend or cancel any intake due to unforeseen circumstances. In such event, fees paid will be refunded in full.

10.
HEG reserves the right to make appropriate changes to its teaching staff, the course curriculum and design, and class time schedule where and when necessary.

11.
Students must comply with the general safety standards and take reasonable care in handling school property and equipment. Any wilful damage will render the student liable for payment of repairs or replacement of the damaged property and equipment.

12.
HEG and its staff will not be liable for any accidents caused in the Centre premises resulting from the Student´s negligence or non-compliance with the safety rules.

13.
In a medical emergency, HEG may authorise qualified medical examination or emergency treatment as may required for the welfare of the student. HEG staff will contact parents/guardians or emergency contact persons to obtain authorisation in the event of such emergency. HEG will not be held responsible for well being during the course of study and it is the duty of the student to obtaion any medical emergency accident or other insurance.

14.
HEG reserves the right to include, amend and/or improvise new additional existing rules and regulations as and when required at the discretion of HEG. Notification will be displayed on notice boards.
